CASUAL DISABILITY SUPPORT WORKER

CASUAL DISABILITY SUPPORT WORKER

  • Certificate or tertiary qualifications (e.g. Minimum Cert IV in Disability Services, Diploma of Community Services, Social Science, Social Work or Human Services)
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role
  • Contemporary understanding and knowledge of NDIS systems, Practice Standards, Legislation and the challenges clients may face
  • Passionate about, understanding of and/or experience working with diverse and/or disadvantaged communities with a disability focus, or people with complex, high needs or exhibiting challenging behaviours
  • Well-developed written communication skills including proven ability to maintain accurate and thorough participant records, case notes and reports
  • Current Working with Children’s Check and Disability Worker Screening Check
  • Valid Open Drivers License
  • First Aid and CPR

NDIS SUPPORT CO-ORDINATOR (PART TIME)

  • Degree, Diploma or a minimum Cert IV tertiary qualifications (e.g. human services, social science, social work, disability or health-related discipline)
  • Minimum 2 years previous experience within the disability sector as it relates to the NDIS Support Coordinator role
  • Contemporary understanding and knowledge of NDIS systems, Practice Standards, Legislation and the challenges clients may face
  • Certificate of completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Module ‘Quality, Safety and You’
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Modules or ability to achieve before commencing work
  • NDIS worker screening check
  • Valid Open Drivers License
  • First Aid and CPR

Ipswich Court Links Support Worker

Court Link is a bail-based court assessment, referral and support program that aims to address the underlying contributors to offending behaviour through targeted case management and judicial monitoring of defendants. The underlying factors include homelessness, employment, drugs and alcohol and other social needs.

Under the direction of the Program Manager, and in consultation with Ipswich Court Link Caseworkers, the Court Link Support Worker is required to assist with activities associated with clients involved in Ipswich’s Court Link Program, specifically providing quality services to clients through support that focuses on Transport, Outreach and Information, Advice and Referral.
