Celebrating Our Journey Toward Reconciliation:

The Base Support Services Inc. Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP)

We are excited to share with you The Base Support Services Inc. Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) on Tuesday, 20th August 2024, at The Base Hub Space. This significant event marks an important milestone in our ongoing journey toward reconciliation.

At The Base Support Services Inc., we are immensely proud to be on this path. Our Reflect RAP represents our deep commitment to fostering meaningful relationships with First Nations Peoples, grounded in mutual respect and understanding. We acknowledge the importance of honouring the rich histories, cultures, and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples and are dedicated to working together for a more inclusive and equitable future.

The Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan is the first step in our reconciliation journey. It serves as a framework that guides our organisation in building respectful relationships and creating opportunities that contribute to social justice and equality. The RAP outlines our commitment to deepening our understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, advancing social equity, and embedding these values into our everyday practices.

This special occasion will include the unveiling of a significant artwork that was created for The Base by one of our young people, light refreshments, and a smoking ceremony, symbolising the importance of this journey and our commitment to reconciliation.

At The Base Support Services Inc. we are united in our dedication to a future that honours and respects First Nations Peoples and invite you to review our RAP located in the link here.
