Base Skills: Ready for Work provides the skills and confidence needed to enter the workforce—at NO COST to participants!
Objectives
Base Skills: Ready for Work assists disadvantaged Queenslanders to transition into the workforce through a 13 week course covering the practical skills needed to successfully look for work.
Base Skills: Ready for Work offers four-intakes within a 12 month period, for 10 participants per intake, commencing 1st May 2025.
Eligibility Criteria
- Ineligible for Australian Government employment services OR
- Need extra support due to significant barriers to employment OR
- Unemployed for 6+ months despite accessing government services
- Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or eligible temporary visa holder
Who Can Apply?
- Young people (15-24 years) no longer at school
- People with disabilities
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
- Culturally and linguistically diverse people
- Disadvantaged job seekers
- Mature age job seekers (45+ years)
- Recently released prisoners
- Underutilised or under-employed workers
